Python Streaming Specialist (Kafka & Spark Streaming)
Location: Alpharetta, GA (willing to travel to client locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time (W2)
Role Overview
We are seeking an expert Python Streaming Specialist to build real-time data processing systems using Kafka and Spark Streaming. This role focuses on delivering low-latency streaming solutions with Python for enterprise data needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop real-time streaming pipelines using Python with Kafka and Spark Streaming.
  • Implement Structured Streaming in Spark to process event-driven data from Kafka topics.
  • Design and optimize Kafka-based streaming systems for high-throughput, real-time data flows.
  • Ensure scalability and fault tolerance of streaming pipelines in production environments.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to integrate streaming data into analytics platforms.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot streaming applications to maintain performance and reliability.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience as a Python developer with a focus on Kafka and Spark Streaming.
  • Proficiency in building real-time data pipelines using Structured Streaming and event streaming.
  • Experience with Kafka for managing and processing streaming data in production.
  • Strong understanding of real-time data processing and distributed streaming systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with cloud-based streaming services like AWS Kinesis or GCP Pub/Sub.
  • Exposure to advanced Spark Streaming features like watermarking or stateful processing.
  • Knowledge of observability tools like ELK Stack for monitoring streaming pipelines.
