Job description

Mover

The Mover will play a critical role in supporting facilities and logistics operations by safely transporting, relocating, and setting up furniture, equipment, and related items across various client locations. This role requires attention to detail, physical strength, and a customer-service mindset to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move, load, transport, and unload furniture, office equipment, and supplies between designated locations.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and reconfigure furniture as required for office relocations or reorganization projects.
  • Ensure items are handled carefully to avoid damage during moves.
  • Follow proper lifting techniques and utilize equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and carts.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of moved items and provide updates to supervisors or project leads.
  • Assist with setup of conference rooms, offices, or workspaces per client specifications.
  • Support inventory tracking of furniture and equipment during moves.
  • Follow safety protocols and comply with all facility regulations while on-site.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff, clients, and coworkers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in moving, logistics, warehouse, or facilities support.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ lbs.) consistently and safely.
  • Experience with basic furniture assembly/disassembly preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism.
