Responsibilities
  • Oversees consulting projects that involve strategy development, organizational restructuring, and management of the business to maximize efficiencies.
  • Works toward objectives established by upper levels of management.
  • Receives guidance from senior leaders.
  • Takes ownership of delivering quality strategic proposals to the Managing Director and General Authorities.
  • Leads the strategic diagnostic and secures approval for the subsequent course of action.
  • Acts as a thought partner on key strategic initiatives and priorities with the Managing Director and other key directors.
  • Works cooperatively with team members, directors and the Managing Director to determine longโ€‘term goals and objectives.
  • Drives key strategic initiatives.
  • Creates analysis and recommendations related to emerging trends, expansion opportunities, possible threats, viability of outside business partners, internal business performance, and business process improvement.
  • Recommends departmentalโ€‘specific procedures and implements those that are approved.
  • Ensures key stakeholders inside and outside the department are unified behind the proposals.
  • Defines an implementation plan and helps ensure successful completion.
  • Manages staff in the dayโ€‘toโ€‘day performance of their jobs.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and customers.
  • Fosters the growth of staff and creates a positive experience for individual staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, preferably with a strategy emphasis, and 7 years of strategy experience, including 3 years of management or project management experience.
  • Experience with strategy consulting at a topโ€‘tier management consulting firm or an internal strategy group in a Fortune 500 company is an additional credit.
  • Proven ability to create a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to influence strategic thinking, identify trends, and analyze data to impact recommendations.
  • Comfort with ambiguous and complex situations and the ability to provide logical and coherent potential solutions.
  • Highly skilled in the use of standard desktop software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (programming ability a plus).
  • Capable of performing detailed, technical data analysis.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, that build and improve relationships.
  • Excellent presentation skills and abilities.
  • Must keep confidences and appropriately deal with sensitive data and documents.
  • Graduating from a topโ€‘tier MBA school is a plus; an MBA is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional business operations experience preferred.
