What you'll own:

This Strategy Manager will join our strategic planning team focused on the Digital (software, technology & media) industry, reporting to the Vertical Growth Lead within the Global Enterprise Growth and Partnerships function. You will work closely with a wide array of global and regional teams including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance. Together with your team, you will help to plan and execute long-term goals and strategic objectives to continue to position Global Payments as a thought leader across the digital industry and grow the vertical globally.

  • Author and maintain a Plan to Win for the Digital vertical, which includes many software-led customers including Technology (AI, SaaS, productivity, advertising), Media (streaming, publishing, social media), Digital Health (telemedicine, online wellness) and others, across priority markets in our four regions: NORAM, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.

  • Develop Global Payments value proposition to win in each sub-vertical of focus from the perspective of the customer and work with internal stakeholders to define our right to win.

  • Generate thought leadership to continue to position Global Payments as an influencer within the vertical for use to support sales discussions, in customer business review meetings, and through marketing channels.

  • Define our vertical go-to-market (strategy, marketing, partnerships) plan to ensure we effectively target our marketing and partner cultivation efforts.

  • Drive the organization and execution of vertical specific events internally and externally

  • Represent the team and present at industry conferences, as well as at internal events, on trends impacting the vertical and Global Payments' value proposition.

  • Coordinate and drive execution of strategic commercial initiatives to grow the vertical

  • Support regional Business Development and Relationship Management teams on various ad-hoc tactical requests including participation in customer meetings, RFPs, developing target lists, informing on vertical thought leadership and trends, to educate them on how to win in target industries.

  • Provide input into the product roadmap acting as the voice of the customer for target industries.

  • Work with a team of strategy and marketing professionals to assist you in driving the objectives of the Digital vertical Plan to Win.

  • Develop a strong internal network amongst key stakeholders including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance.


What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience from a Tier 1 management consultancy firm or another larger enterprise business in a strategy function or

  • 3+ years' experience in product-marketing, product commercialization, or Go-to-Market strategy, or

  • 3+ years' expertise within a digital-first or software-led B2C business including but not limited to Technology (AI, productivity, security, advertising, education), Media (streaming, publishing, social), Digital Health, or others

  • You have actively contributed to strategic decision-making processes and are comfortable making choices and assessing trade-offs

  • Payments or other financial services experience desirable

  • Bachelor's degree preferrable.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience working in software, technology and media businesses preferably within a payments or fintech company/function.

  • Self-motivated and able to work to define priorities across a complex, global organization, as well as close knowledge gaps quickly.

  • Ability to build consensus behind a vision and achieve buy-in to deliver on goals.

  • Good communication skills including speaking in panels, webinars and on stage at events, and a natural networker.

  • Good analytical experience, strong project management skills.

  • Comfortable with global travel to attend internal and external events and customer meetings.

  • Track record as a high EQ colleague, helping both team engagement and collaboration.
