Summary

The Strategic Project Manager functions as the primary engine for high-priority initiatives, transforming executive vision into measurable operational reality. Unlike traditional project management focused solely on "on-time and on-budget," this role centers on Strategic ROI, ensuring every project directly supports the organization's long-term competitive advantage. This is a high-visibility position that requires a unique blend of business acumen, diplomatic communication, and rigorous execution. The Strategic Project Manager navigates complex organizational structures to dismantle silos and align disparate teams toward a singular goal. They are responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility analysis to post-launch optimization. This role will report to the CEO.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinating across multiple time zones to ensure project momentum is maintained 24/7.
  • Adapting communication styles and project frameworks to fit diverse regional business customs and regulatory environments.
  • Leading remote "tiger teams" through digital collaboration tools, ensuring clarity and engagement despite physical distance.
  • Translating high-level roadmaps into actionable workstreams that resonate with local operational teams.
  • Identifying and mitigating geopolitical, economic, or operational risks that could impact global delivery.
  • Establishing a unified project "source of truth" that remains accessible and transparent to stakeholders regardless of their location.
  • Translating 3โ€“5-year roadmaps into actionable workstreams and milestones.
  • Ensuring alignment between project deliverables and overarching corporate objectives.
  • Proactively identifying bottlenecks in the global supply chain or internal processes that threaten timelines.
  • Organization of projects, R&D Development projects and all other projects that would support the strategic development of Mark VII
  • Balancing budget and human capital across competing global priorities.
  • Driving internal adoption of new processes across varied departmental cultures.
  • Distilling complex project data into high-level briefings for C-suite leaders and Board members.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering with a financial; PMP, Prince2, or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic operations, management consulting, or enterprise-level project management.
  • Proven experience managing projects with stakeholders located in different countries.
  • JIRA experience strongly perfered.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of PMO structures and the ability to implement standardized project tracking across global departments.
  • Ability to analyze P&L statements, ROI projections, and market trends to ensure project viability.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.
  • Experience in SWOT analysis, Hoshin Kanri, or similar frameworks to align projects with corporate strategy.
  • Advanced skills in enterprise project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project) and ERP systems.
  • Expert level of "influence without authority" to move projects forward in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable executive dashboards and reports.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to engage in frequent video conferencing and high-volume digital communication.
  • Availability to attend early morning or late evening meetings to accommodate global time zones.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to visit regional sites or attend strategic planning sessions (approximately 10โ€“15%).
  • Must be able to review detailed financial reports and lead large-scale presentations and workshops.
