Product Manager - Radar

MatrixSpace

Hoffman Estates, IL

Full-time

Re-posted 10 days ago

Job description

Own the strategy, execution, and market success of MatrixSpace’s core radar products.

MatrixSpace develops AI-enabled radar and sensing systems that help people understand what’s happening in the world around them. By combining advanced radar, edge computing, and AI, we deliver situational awareness in environments where traditional sensing solutions struggle.

We’re looking for a strategic, customer-focused, and execution-oriented Product Manager to own and drive the success of our radar product portfolio. You'll shape the capabilities, roadmap, and competitive positioning of our radar products, partnering closely with engineering to bring differentiated sensing technology to market.

What You'll Do

  • Develop deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive opportunities.
  • Define product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and priorities for MatrixSpace radar products.
  • Partner with engineering and leadership teams to guide products through their full lifecycle, from concept to production and sustainment.
  • Engage directly with customers through demonstrations, deployments, trade shows, and feedback sessions.
  • Drive alignment across engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Support go-to-market activities, including sales enablement, customer engagement, and product positioning.
  • Monitor product adoption, business performance, and customer outcomes to inform future investments.

What We're Looking For

This position requires working directly or indirectly with the US Government in restricted environments. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance in the future.

  • 5+ years of product management, product strategy, or related experience in a technical environment.
  • Ability to translate customer, market, business, and technical inputs into clear product direction and priorities.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving execution without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, sound judgment, and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and balancing competing demands.

Someone Who Will Thrive in This Role

  • Customer-focused and naturally curious about user needs, market trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with practical execution.
  • Collaborative leader who builds alignment across teams and disciplines.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and energized by fast-paced environments.
  • Passionate about sensing systems, AI, autonomy, aerospace, defense, security, or related technologies.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with radar, sensing systems, Counter-UAS, or related technologies.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, security, mobility, or other mission-critical industries.
  • Familiarity with international customers and markets, particularly in Europe.
  • Technical RF background that enables effective collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Experience evaluating market opportunities and competitive positioning in highly technical markets.

While our focus is always on solving the mission at hand and understanding the broader context, the person in this role will wake up every day thinking about how to make our radar a better fit for the market.

At MatrixSpace, Product Management is where customer insight, technology innovation, and business impact come together. You’ll help define the future of AI-enabled radar solutions while enabling teams across the company to deliver products that solve meaningful real-world challenges.
