Our dynamic and community-centered organization is looking to add an outgoing, creative, and collaborative Development Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for stewarding a robust pipeline of donors and cultivating authentic relationships between donors and the Boulder JCC. The Development Manager will create a high-level management plan for each constituency of donors within their portfolio, to ensure cultivation throughout the year and to facilitate year-end, special appeal, and sponsorship solicitations. The Development Manager, working with the Development team, will ensure a donor-centric approach to development, integrating data, staff interactions, and donor engagement to facilitate donor involvement in the JCC as an organization. The Development Manager will act as an ambassador for the Boulder JCC, promoting donor engagement in JCC programming and volunteer opportunities to ensure a lifelong connection between donors and the organization.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Help our donors accomplish their philanthropic goals by encouraging a close and meaningful relationship with the organization
  • Manage/qualify initial portfolio of 200 donors or prospects with a focus on annual giving
  • Work with the rest of the Development department to align efforts and set goals
  • Create and implement moves management plans for prospects
  • Cultivate and nurture donors through regular outreach, continued stewardship, and annual solicitations
  • Research potential prospects
  • Steward and acknowledge donors
  • Consistently track and report progress in Salesforce
  • Expand efforts to meet with prospective donors
  • Work with the Boulder JCC's Strategic Development Group to update them on Development Team work and to steward our board members
  • Attend relevant Boulder JCC programs to meet new potential donors and to assist programming team when necessary
  • Work with Data and Development Coordinator to update Salesforce as needed and provide backup on high traffic donation days such as Colorado Gives Day and during major fundraisers
  • Support Development Director in planning and implementing Development events as needed


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Hourly Rate: $25.95 - $28.07 per hour, commensurate with experience. 

Hours: Full-Time (30-40 hours per week) or Part-Time (20 hours per week) options available.


Full-Time Track (30-40 hours per week)

Part-Time Track (Approx. 20 hours per week) Benefits Include:

  • Time Off: Paid vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays (including a prorated week off during Thanksgiving). Please note: Vacation leave is not provided for tracks under 20 hours.
  • Financial Benefits: 403(b) retirement plan with immediate vesting and up to a 4% employer match.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Outgoing personality willing to make cold calls to community members; comfortable asking for money
  • Demonstrated success in working with externally facing programs
  • Team player - willingness to help with all Development and Boulder JCC tasks as needed
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the organization
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and detail oriented; ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deadlines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Google applications
  • Experience in donor management software is preferred and experience in Salesforce is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
