External Communications & Content Strategy Manager


The External Communications & Content Strategy Manager develops and manages external messaging and content that promotes the institution, supports enrollment and customer engagement, strengthens brand reputation and routine external communication. Working in partnership with leadership, Marketing, Admissions, and other departments, this role oversees content strategy, campaign communications, audience-focused content development, and continuous improvement of external communications to ensure alignment with institutional goals and brand standards.


External Communication and Content Strategy

Partner with institutional leaders and departments to identify external communication needs, audience interests, and marketing priorities. Develop messaging strategies, value propositions, and content frameworks that communicate the ministry's value and support enrollment and purchasing decisions. Ensure messaging is audience-focused, mission-aligned, accurate, and consistent with institutional positioning and brand standards.

Customer-Readiness and Decision-Support Content

Develop and maintain content that supports prospective students, families, customers, and other audiences throughout the enrollment and decision-making journey. Create and edit digital, print, and campaign materials that explain institutional offerings, requirements, benefits, processes, and next steps. Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and responsive to audience questions and concerns.

Marketing Campaigns, Advertising Coordination, and Delivery Handoff

Partner with the CMO and Marketing team to align content with campaign objectives, audience needs, and desired outcomes. Develop creative briefs, guide content development, and coordinate reviews, approvals, revisions, and project timelines. Provide approved content for distribution and maintain content calendars, messaging resources, workflows, and project records.

Brand Reputation, Performance Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement

Develop content that strengthens institutional credibility, communicates value, and supports a positive public image. Monitor external feedback and reputation trends, recommending or drafting responses and escalating issues as appropriate. Use audience feedback, campaign results, and related data to improve messaging, content effectiveness, and customer readiness.
