  • This field-based business development role is responsible for driving sign and graphics product sales growth across a defined Northeast territory by acquiring new customers, expanding existing accounts, and serving as a subject matter expert in the category.
Job Summary
  • Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across the Northeast territory through a mix of proactive field visits and strategic phone outreach
  • Conduct 20-25 meaningful customer conversations per day on office days, prioritizing large prospects, accounts outside the buying cycle, and targeted business-qualified accounts
  • Visit 5-10 customer accounts per day while traveling, with a primary focus on large prospect accounts, covering roughly 60-70% travel across the territory
  • Plan and execute all travel days using Salesforce map guide, confirming visits in advance and responding to missed calls or texts within 2 hours and emails within 24 hours
  • Log all customer interactions, notes, and follow-up tasks in Salesforce immediately after each call or visit, maintaining accurate account status and pipeline data
  • Analyze sales data regularly to identify trends, evaluate territory performance, and uncover growth opportunities
  • Participate in a minimum of bi-weekly territory reviews with the internal sales representative to align on priorities and pipeline progression
Minimum Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of outside or field-based sales experience with a demonstrated hunter mentality and proactive outbound approach
  • Experience managing a multi-state or geographically dispersed territory with structured travel planning
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 60-70% of the time, including overnight travel for accounts over 300 miles
  • Must be located in Northern New Jersey or the Philadelphia metro area (Trenton area or North NJ preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in industrial distribution or a related field 
  • Experience with MS Office and digital sales tools for territory planning and execution
  • Demonstrated track record of growing gross margin year over year within an assigned territory
