Position: Business Development Manager


Location: Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, TX, Madison, WI, Kansas City, KS, or Oklahoma City, OK

Employment Type: Full-time, Field-based


Role Summary


The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding Vertical Solutions Roofing & Construction's presence across key markets. This field-based role demands a professional who excels at building trust, developing referral channels, and converting relationships into qualified business opportunities. By representing the company at various events and strengthening strategic partnerships, you'll drive recurring revenue and market expansion.


Key Responsibilities


- Establish and maintain referral relationships with insurance agents, real estate professionals, property management companies, and HOAs across specified territories.

- Develop strategic alliances to generate qualified leads and ensure long-term business growth.

- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, sponsorships, and community events to enhance our market presence.

- Cultivate new partnership opportunities by identifying high-value contacts and maintaining consistent follow-ups in various markets.

- Engage proactively with leads to maintain active pipelines and nurture relationships.

- Promote and support the growth of the Maintenance Membership program by engaging partners, identifying upsell opportunities, and converting relationships into recurring service agreements.

- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, marketing, recruiting, and leadership teams to ensure opportunity alignment and effective strategy deployment.

- Provide valuable market feedback to refine strategies and support regional expansion efforts.


Qualifications


- Proven ability in building referral channels and relationship-driven business opportunities.

- Success in creating partnerships within field-based environments.

- Competence in managing long-cycle relationship development with strong follow-up skills.

- Experience across diverse markets, territories, or regional accounts.

- Excellent communication, networking, and account management abilities.

- Background in business development, account management, channel partnerships, or relationship-based sales is preferred.

- Experience in roofing, construction, real estate, or similar industries is advantageous.


Compensation and Benefits


- Base salary of $60,000 with performance-based bonuses.

-After incentives we expect this person to earn between $100,000 to $120,000 total earnings

- Full-time position with all approved travel expenses covered (hotel, flights, rental car).
