Job Description

Olympus is committed to accountability, and the Strategy Shared Services function within Corporate Strategy is enabling this commitment through transparency of the company's investment portfolios. 

This role is the Strategy Shared Services expert on portfolio information across the company's five key investment areas, developing a deep technical understanding of system inputs and outputs and how they link to goal attainment and executive metrics. Included in this, is striving for efficiency in the cascade of portfolio information to various levels of the organization and streamlining inputs in collaboration with functional owners.  This role will also gain a strong understanding of the key strategies within each portfolio and support communication and scenario planning that drives decision making across the organization.

Primarily, the role is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of executive level summaries which provide visibility into the most critical projects within Olympus - these insights provide monthly updates to status, financial projections, and delivery milestones.  This position leads collaboration with stakeholders, gathering updates, communicating with executives, and striving for continuous improvement of our reporting processes. 

Job Duties
  • Responsible for ensuring business KPIs are tracked and reported to executive forums.
  • Drive continuous improvement by gathering feedback and proposing/implementing solutions for enhancements to existing reports.  
  • Develop scenarios and visual representations of gathered complex data/relationships to convey key information succinctly and unambiguously. Ensure that the methodology and assumptions used to develop the output are clearly documented, accurate and repeatable.
  • Responsible for analyses, compilation, verification of data integrity, development, and delivery of reports critical to the Olympus strategy and on-going accountability for key success metrics.
  • Develop and maintain standard tools, templates, and instructions for various reports and processes.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of impactful and compelling presentations summarizing the findings and recommendations across portfolios.
  • Provide informal mentoring and knowledgesharing to peers and analysts on best practices in reporting, analytics, and portfolio management.
  • Proactively manage actions and deliverables, holding team members and functional managers accountable for completion.
  • Serve as a change agent by promoting best practices in reporting, data management and analytical rigor.
  • Other essential duties as directed
Job Requirements

Required:

  • BS degree in engineering or technical field required; MS, MBA or PHD preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years in process management and executive reporting within PMO, Portfolio Management or Corporate Strategy. Medical device or management consulting experience a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience presenting and engaging with cross-functional executive audiences.
  • Effectively demonstrated planning and organizational skills with background and experience in project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
  • Expertly proficient in Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio, and Word.
  • Experience with and/or training in change management.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in this location is $108,767.00 - $152,274.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
