JOB TITLE: Manager, Media Analytics
DEPARTMENT: Analytics
REPORTS TO: Director, Media Analytics
MAJOR PURPOSE:
The Analytics Manager is responsible for driving innovation of advanced media strategies that deliver measurable performance. The Analytics Manager plays a critical role in the Analytics pod, ensuring partner and company success, leading the development of Audience First marketing strategies, flawless campaign execution, and sophisticated testing plans. The Pod's main objective is finding trends within data and providing insights to partners to help them achieve their marketing goals. The Analytics Manager will be responsible for coaching and guiding their team of Analysts to success. The position requires an individual who is business savvy to understand and advance partner marketing goals, a technical mind with the attention to detail and patience to troubleshoot within the latest analytical platforms, and a desire to lead a team making a big impact in the marketing industry
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Analytics Manager will have 4-6 analytics direct reports to provide support, guidance, and coaching
  • Lead partner engagement for assigned accounts
  • Proactively monitor partner campaign performance, assist the team in monitoring their assigned campaigns, and make necessary optimizations with minimal managerial oversight
  • Maintain accurate partner-facing and internal detailed reporting for optimization, utilizing Looker Studio for visualization
  • Oversee partners' budgets to ensure campaign spend is within the targeted range while maintaining performance goals
  • Emphasis on maintaining partner data collection, aggregation, and reporting
  • Adhoc partner analysis as needed, including root cause/deep dive analysis, insights, and providing recommendations as part of ongoing optimization efforts
  • As necessary, liaise with partners to share information in order to drive and support a successful campaign
  • Lead the data storytelling for partner presentation decks
  • While data aggregation and automation is available for dash-boarding, regular work within platforms like Google Ads, BingAds, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Meta is required for reporting and optimization purposes
  • Work cross functionally with the Marketing team to track partner campaign goals
  • Contribute and lead in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-based environment
  • Experience in data management (Excel, Gsheets) and DataStudio is expected, or similar data management or visualization platform knowledge (Tableau, Looker, Excel)
  • Regularly check-in with partners, acting as an extension of their team and trusted partner leading them to success
  • Assist and lead in maintaining and improvement internal processes
  • Additional data management/SQL experience is a plus

Requirements
CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
  • 8+ years experience with digital media, business intelligence, and/or web analytics to grow as a member of a results-driven team, learning and leveraging media optimization and data analysis to achieve partner goals.
  • 1+ year of management experience
  • Optimizing media coming from media platforms such as Meta Ads, Google ads
  • Ideal candidate enjoys problem solving, is data curious, a power user in spreadsheets
  • (Excel/Google sheets), enjoys data visualization, and can jump into any data platform with minimal oversight
  • Should have a working knowledge and understanding of a combination (2-3) of the below platforms or technologies:
  • Reporting/analysis of online marketing channels (Meta, DCM, Google Ads, etc.)
  • Reporting/segmentation within either Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Experience with BI/report platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, Domo, Datorama, Google Cloud, DataStudio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically
  • Thorough understanding of the company's business processes and the industry at large

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 6+ years relevant experience
  • 1+ years of management experience
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required; Masters degree preferred.

  • Periods sitting at a desk and monitoring computer (we have ergonomic sit stand desks)
