What the Strategic Sourcing Analyst does at Worldwide

Responsible for securing 3rd party vendors for various commodities and/or services to support our global clinical trials and the overall corporate business objectives. You will be generating and implementing sourcing and category management strategies for a specific group or category of products and/or services. You will use the end-to-end procurement/sourcing process and be responsible for the overall management of assigned commodities. Identify and maintain vendor relationships that provide high quality products and services at the best value while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.

What you will do

  • Establish and maintain business relationships with selected third-party vendors that would support the Worldwide Clinical Trials organization globally.
  • Analyze data and market research to determine trends.
  • Develop and implement sourcing and category management strategies for assigned categories.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders for business needs.
  • Support and build Preferred Provider relationships through strategic sourcing processes.
  • Development of RF(x) for commodity sourced (if applicable).

Your experience

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Pharmaceutical /CRO industry required.
  • 2-5 years Sourcing/Category management experience or similar role preferred.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge and/or management of clinical services in clinical trials is a plus.
  • Requires strong presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum Travel may be required (up to 10%)

The salary range for this position is annually (For hourly paid positions, the stated salary range reflects hourly rates):


United States of America - $52,500.00 - $104,500.00


The salary range provided is intended to give candidates an understanding of potential earnings. Compensation will fall within the provided range, and it not a guarantee of exact salary. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, performance, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive benefits package depending on location. We ensure pay equity and transparency and comply with all applicable labor laws. Salary information will be discussed during the interview process, and we encourage candidates to inquire about compensation at any stage.
