Our Government Project Management Office (PMO) is a strategic partner to the business, driving delivery excellence across complex, cross-functional customer engagements and enterprise initiatives. We collaborate closely with Market Planning, Product Management, Engineering, Testing, Legal, SIU, Operations, Sales, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with customer expectations, contractual commitments, compliance requirements, and business objectives.
The PMO operates in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment that requires strong communication, operational discipline, accountability, and customer focus. Our team supports high-visibility implementations and strategic initiatives across government, regulated, and customer-facing environments, where successful delivery and client confidence are critical to long-term success.

About the role:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex projects and strategic initiatives across multiple portfolios, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of customer and business outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, advanced stakeholder management, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining structure, accountability, and delivery momentum.

The Senior Project Manager serves as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external clients, balancing operational execution with strategic alignment. This individual will build delivery roadmaps, manage integrated schedules, coordinate dependencies across organizations, and provide executive-level reporting on project health, risks, financial impacts, and key decisions.

This is a highly customer-facing role that requires professionalism, credibility, and confidence managing complex client relationships, escalations, and high-pressure situations. Experience within Vital Records, government, or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage highly complex projects and strategic initiatives across multiple portfolios and cross-functional teams.

  • Drive integrated project planning, milestone management, resource coordination, dependency tracking, risk mitigation, and executive-level status reporting.

  • Build and maintain project schedules, roadmaps, risk registers, action tracking, dependency management, and governance documentation.

  • Provide concise, executive-level communication regarding project progress, risks, decisions, financial impacts, dependencies, and required actions.

  • Coordinate and negotiate resource assignments with Engineering Resource Managers and communicate capacity and delivery impacts across stakeholders.

  • Ensure alignment between contractual obligations, scope management, compliance requirements, customer expectations, and technical delivery teams.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Testing, Operations, Legal, Market Planning, Sales, and customer stakeholders.

  • Manage client communications, executive stakeholder engagement, escalations, and expectation management throughout all project phases.

  • Oversee all phases of the product development and implementation lifecycle, from initiation through deployment and operational transition.

  • Identify delivery risks proactively and drive accountability across teams to ensure timely resolution and successful outcomes.

  • Support operational optimization and continuous improvement efforts across project delivery, governance, reporting, and execution practices.

  • Apply structured delivery methodologies, including Agile and hybrid approaches, based on project, customer, and organizational needs.

  • Operate effectively within fast-moving environments where priorities, requirements, and timelines may evolve.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of PMO, program management, or equivalent complex project delivery experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

  • PMP certification required.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional, customer-facing initiatives in complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong experience managing executive-level stakeholders, customer escalations, and cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Proven ability to lead projects involving compliance, contractual obligations, scope governance, and operational accountability.

  • Strong understanding of Agile, hybrid, and structured project delivery methodologies.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.

  • Advanced analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving business needs while maintaining delivery focus.

  • Experience building and maintaining executive-level reporting, schedules, risk registers, and governance artifacts.

  • Strong collaboration and influence skills across technical, operational, business, and customer organizations.

  • Experience driving operational improvement and delivery optimization initiatives.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience supporting Vital Records, identity verification, public sector, or citizen-facing technology solutions strongly preferred.

  • Experience working within government, regulated, or highly compliance-driven environments preferred.

  • Familiarity with government contracts, compliance obligations, and public sector stakeholder engagement.

  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization, SaaS implementations, or large-scale product delivery initiatives.

  • Experience managing projects involving complex integrations, data governance, or operational transformation efforts preferred.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $192,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
