What is strategic risk solutions?

Strategic Risk Solutions refers to specialized services or firms that help organizations identify, assess, and manage risks that could impact their long-term goals and performance. These solutions involve analyzing potential threats, developing risk management strategies, and implementing controls to minimize negative impacts. Professionals in this field work with businesses to create tailored risk frameworks, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance decision-making. Their expertise covers areas such as financial risk, operational risk, compliance, and emerging risks like cybersecurity. By leveraging strategic risk solutions, organizations can protect assets, improve resilience, and seize new opportunities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a strategic risk solutions consultant, and why are they important?

Job description

Description

Expected start date of 11/16/2026

With a workforce of over 100 in communities from Alaska's Aluetian Islands, Yukon Kuskokwim Delta, Coastal South East and Interior Alaska, we give the best air medical crews in the state - if not the country - the opportunity to support critical care patients during transports from rural Alaska to tertiary care centers across the state, major cities in the Lower 48, and internationally.

Position Description:

LifeMed Alaska's Flight Paramedics are responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with complex and involved care needs outside the hospital setting. Flight Paramedics provide care in fixed wing aircraft, ground ambulance, and helicopter. They must always maintain a safe, therapeutic and organized environment and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care. All duties and care provided will be performed in accordance with LifeMed Alaska policies and protocols. All care delivered during transport will be implemented using written treatment protocols approved by the Medical Director, treatment guidelines received from on-line medical control, and sound clinical judgement.

A day in the life...

Our Flight Paramedics are partnered with talented Flight Nurses caring for patients with a full range of extreme conditions. Transport may take the crew to remote villages, larger cities and hospitals within Alaska, or facilities in the Lower 48. Our patients count on our flight crews to be a calming presence in situations that are new and can be frightening for them and their loved ones, in addition to providing the highest-quality healthcare LifeMed Alaska is known for.

Our flight crews have the opportunity to contribute to achieving overall company objectives by participating in committees, sharing ideas to improve quality of care and increase efficiency, and working shifts at our other Alaska bases. Flight Paramedics have the opportunity to influence processes, internal communication systems, and other aspects of the business as we set the stage for the continued success of LifeMed Alaska.

Perks of LifeMed Alaska

Full-time LifeMed Alaska employees are eligible for a competitive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental for the employee and eligible dependents, a generous match with participation in our 401k plan, paid time off after 90 days of employment, life, disability and other accident insurance options for the employee and eligible dependents, an employee assistance program, tax-free savings plans for medical and childcare expenses, and relocation assistance for qualified applicants. Additionally, LifeMed Alaska provides our Flight clinicians140 hours of paid continuing education per year, supports work/life balance by providing a flexible schedule, and is a smoke-free workplace. Our Culture is one of Excellence in all that we do, and we strive to listen for understanding, have fun in our work, and give every member of the team a clear picture of how their strengths contribute to the success of the organization.
