Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager - Strategic Cloud & AI Portfolio.
The Program Manager, Strategic Cloud & AI Portfolio, will lead a newly created team of specialized project managers focused on high impact Cloud, AI, and Databricks initiatives. This role is responsible for shaping and driving an optimized project management framework for these strategic programs, overseeing the full project lifecycle. 
You will coordinate cross functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions that advance the organizations strategic goals. In addition to leading a portfolio of complex initiatives, you will mentor and optimize project management capabilities across the EPMO.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Ownership

  • Lead a dedicated team of project managers delivering Cloud, AI, and Databricks projects across the entire lifecycle (discovery, planning, execution, launch, and optimization). 
  • Partner with leadership and strategy teams to execute projects in the roadmap for Cloud, AI, and Databricks. 
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine the project management framework, including standards, templates, and best practices. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executives and stakeholders for the strategic Cloud/AI/Databricks program portfolio, providing clear visibility into status, risks, and outcomes.

Program & Project Delivery Excellence

  • Plan, manage, and lead complex programs spanning infrastructure, data, analytics, and application teams. 
  • Oversee endtoend delivery: create program plans, define milestones, manage dependencies, and guide teams to successful outcomes. 
  • Proactively identify resource needs, drive quality reviews, perform risk management, and escalate functional, quality, or timeline issues appropriately across projects and business areas. 
  • Track key milestones and outcomes, present options to meet evolving business needs. 
  • Maintain program budgets and optimize resource utilization across the portfolio.

Framework, Governance & Performance

  • Develop and maintain program governance structures for Cloud, AI, and Databricks projects, including steering committees, decision rights, and escalation paths. 
  • Manage program critical paths, interproject dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring timely mitigation and transparent communication. 
  • Perform impact analysis on change requests and make datadriven recommendations to optimize scope, schedule, and value delivery. 
  • Define and manage program objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), leveraging analytics to measure and communicate program and experience success metrics. 
  • Create and present executivelevel program status updates and steering committee presentations that are insightful, actionable, and aligned with strategic goals.

Team Leadership & PMO Enablement

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a specialized team of Cloud/AI/Databricks project managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Mentor project managers across the broader PMO, helping them build skills and confidence in managing advanced Cloud, AI, and data platforms. 
  • Promote and implement best practices delivery models where appropriate for Cloud and AI initiatives. 
  • Encourage knowledge sharing, reusable patterns, and playbooks that raise the maturity of the entire PMO.

Stakeholder Partnership & Experience Management

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define overall program goals, scope, and success criteria for Cloud, AI, and Databricks initiatives. 
  • Lead discussions on analytics and experience metrics in partnership with Experience Leads. 
  • Monitor the planning and execution of product delivery, with particular attention to operational training, readiness, adoption, and support. 
  • Maintain open, proactive dialogue with leads on product delivery timelines and risks, supporting escalation and mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Advanced knowledge and proficiency in project and program management methodologies, tools, financial management, and resource management practices.
Demonstrated success managing large, complex IT programs using formal methodologies such as the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) or equivalent.
Proven experience leading technology programs in at least one of the following areas (multiple areas strongly preferred):
o Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
o AI/ML initiatives (e.g., data science, ML models, generative AI solutions)
o Data platforms and analytics (e.g., Databricks, data lakes, enterprise data warehouses)
Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering under compressed timelines and high visibility.
Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills; able to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling narratives.
Highly analytical and process oriented, with the ability to apply structure to complex, ambiguous problems.
Strong leadership, team building, and mentoring skills, with demonstrated ability to develop high performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in project and/or program management.
Experience leading strategic technology programs in complex environments; healthcare industry experience highly desired.
PMP certification required; additional certifications (e.g., PgMP, SAFe, Agile, Cloud or Databricks certifications) are a plus.
