ABOUT THE ROLE

The Strategic Financial Manager will partner with the CEO ensuring priorities are tracked, commitments are delivered, and strategic initiatives move forward on schedule.  They will support the CEO in driving accountability, operational excellence, and growth across the organization.  This role requires strong analytical and communication skills and involves cross-functional collaboration.  This position is preferred in office at our Wichita Office location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the CEO’s action items, priorities, deadlines, and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture decisions and action items, and track completion.
  • Drive rigorous follow-up with leaders and team members to ensure commitments are delivered on time.
  • Coordinate activities across teams, and geographies, ensuring alignment and accountability.
  • Monitor key business metrics, dashboards, and performance reports.
  • Analyze operational and financial data and identify gaps and trends through data analysis.
  • Maintain, and build, if necessary, management reports.
  • Identify execution risks, bottlenecks, and missed deadlines, escalating when necessary.
  • Draft executive communications and maintain effective information flow across the organization.
  • Support special projects and growth initiatives led by the CEO.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, excel, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and provide actional insights.
  • Ability to manage competing demands.
  • Innovation and continuous improvement mindset.
  • High level of confidentiality with sensitive financial and strategic information.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact confidently with senior executives.
  • Skilled at influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Ability to adapt, make clear decisions, and maintain performance in high-stress or rapidly changing situations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field

Five plus years’ experience working as a financial strategic partner directly with executives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Standard hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm central time Monday through Friday.  Occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime work may be required as job duties demand.
