About the Account Executive Strategist - Reddit:

MarketStar is looking for an Account Executive Strategist to support our Reddit SMB advertising organization. This role serves as a dedicated optimization and performance resource that partners closely with Account Managers and SMB leadership to improve advertiser performance, uncover growth opportunities, and increase adoption of advertising products and best practices.

The Account Executive Strategist will provide strategic account support through performance analysis, optimization planning, and business intelligence. In addition to supporting individual advertisers, this role will identify trends across the SMB business and develop scalable recommendations that improve advertiser outcomes, influence business strategy, and drive revenue growth.

Location: Ogden, UT (Hybrid)

What Will You Do?

  • Partner with SMB leadership and Account Managers to improve advertiser performance across high-priority accounts and strategic growth opportunities.

  • Manage support requests submitted through a standardized intake process and prioritize work based on revenue impact, business needs, and available capacity.

  • Conduct deep performance reviews to identify root causes of account challenges and develop data-driven recommendations that improve advertiser performance.

  • Support revenue growth efforts by identifying optimization opportunities, upsell potential, and recovery strategies for underperforming accounts.

  • Analyze advertiser performance across the SMB business to identify recurring trends and scalable optimization opportunities.

  • Monitor adoption of optimization best practices and recommend actions that improve advertiser outcomes.

  • Develop and document data-driven recommendations, case studies, best practices, and performance strategies that Account Managers can leverage during advertiser conversations.

  • Curate successful optimization and advertiser re-engagement strategies that can be replicated across similar advertiser segments.

  • Create and track opportunities resulting from SMB Performance Strategist engagements.

  • Apply optimization best practices and recommendations shared by cross-functional teams and strategic partners.

  • Share advertiser wins, performance insights, and scalable strategies across the SMB organization.

  • Participate in regular reporting cadences to review accounts supported, revenue impact, ARPA growth, churn outcomes, and overall program performance.

  • Partner closely with SMB leadership to ensure priorities, resources, and performance initiatives align with evolving business needs.

  • Other applicable duties as assigned.

What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • 2+ years of experience in digital advertising, account management, campaign optimization, performance marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience reviewing advertiser performance metrics and developing optimization strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, CRM systems, business intelligence platforms, or other reporting and analytics tools.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and recommend strategic actions that improve performance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Account Managers, leadership, and cross-functional partners.

  • Experience identifying scalable opportunities and creating best practices that improve overall business performance.
