Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in Finance, Sports, Media, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA, JD, Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of the financial market data landscape, including stock exchanges, index providers, fundamental data, and financial news/research.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure complex agreements, and negotiate terms with strategic partners.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

The Finance Vertical Partnerships team enables unique product experiences across Search, Google Finance Hub, and Gemini. This includes developing partnerships that provide high-intent users with market data, financial news, fundamental research, and alternative datasets. We work as a business development partner to enable product teams, ground Google's AI models in professional research, and strengthen external financial ecosystems.
In this role, you will develop and execute global partnerships that enable product teams to meet goals for efforts that address user needs in financial topic areas across Search, Google Finance Hub, and Gemini. You will work closely with product leaders and cross-functional teams to source, negotiate, and execute complex market data and financial content partnerships for Google, manage exchange relationships, and develop go-to-market strategies for our financial product offerings.
