Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director, Strategic Marketing (Market) to lead the development and execution of the market vertical strategy to support the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, effectively translating business goals into marketing plans that drive growth and improve customer experience. Through detailed analysis of the market and customer insights, in conjunction with internal capabilities, this role will define where to play and how to win.

Essential Duties and Tasks

  • Define the overall marketing strategy and long-term vision, align the company growth objectives and market opportunities
  • Articulate compelling value proposition for core products and solutions, ensuring clear differentiation for owned market.
  • Own and manage the full product portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with the business trends, market trends and customer needs
  • Ensure alignment with product development and marketing communication of value messaging across brand, product, and channel strategies to drive customer engagement and conversion
  • Oversee lifecycle management of all products in your category, including positioning, messaging, launches, enhancements and phase-outs.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, product development, and operations to optimize portfolio performance and profitability
  • Analyze market data, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform portfolio prioritization and investment decisions
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing products to drive revenue growth and market share
  • Collaborate with sales to align prospecting strategies including prospects where we have key differentiation and the right to win
  • Lead the alignment of the go-to-market strategy approach across sales to ensure pipeline opportunities fit the strategic growth needs
  • Facilitate monthly cross functional meetings among shareholders on growth priorities, pipeline management, and resource allocation
  • Analyze price elasticity, cost inputs, and market trends to inform and establish pricing guidelines to ensure consistency and discipline for owned market/markets.
  • Partner cross-functional with sales, finance and product teams to optimize pricing structures and maximize profitability
  • Establish KPI and performance metrics to continuously assess and refine product portfolio effectiveness.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, business development, sales operations, marketing strategy, market intelligence, corporate strategy, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced business degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience leading global or multi-regional commercial strategy initiatives and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies that drive revenue expansion, pipeline generation, market penetration, customer acquisition, and share-of-wallet growth.
  • Deep understanding of market segmentation, customer targeting and demand generation in complex B2B environment
  • Strong experience in pricing strategy, margin management, and value based selling approaches
  • Experience conducting market assessments, competitive intelligence analyses, customer research, and business opportunity evaluations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and regional business leaders.
  • Experience developing and implementing performance metrics, analytics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure commercial effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies and measurable results.
