Job description

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Director of Korea Marketing leads the development of the regional marketing strategy and the regional marketing team to drive breakthrough brand marketing, accelerate consumer acquisition and elevate the Columbia Brand across the Korean marketplace.

This role will report into the Global Brand Marketing organization, but will work in close partnership as the strategic marketing partner for the regional GM. This role will also work closely with cross-functional Korean team members in Sales, Merchandising and Operations; as well as with Global Product Marketing, Brand Design, and Retail teams to ensure strategic alignment while scaling Brand initiatives and driving regional relevant marketing campaigns.

  • Strategy: Develop and execute full funnel marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Leadership: Guide, mentor, and empower a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, resourcefulness, collaboration and innovative thinking
  • Collaboration: Serve as the strategic marketing partner to the GM, setting long range marketing plans aligned with global and regional business objectives
  • Brand Management: Coordinate brand positioning, drive full funnel integrated marketing and ensure consistent messaging across all consumer touchpoints
  • Consumer Acquisition: Develop and implement marketing tactics that serve the regional consumer and align with the global brand acquisition strategy
  • Performance: Set objectives, analyze and report out on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, activations and channel tactics, using data-driven insights to refine and improve
  • Budget Management: Own and manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI
  • Retail Marketing: Elevate the retail experience through Mono-Brand and SiS locations, ensuring the retail experience is aligned to elevate the assortment and meet or surpass consumer expectations
  • Media: Oversee all paid and organic media strategy, inclusive of paid brand, direct response channels, owned social and retail channels

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Retail Marketing or a related field
  • 10+ years of strategic brand and marketing experience
  • 8+ years of people management experience including managing through managers
  • Proven track record of building and implementing regional strategies in alignment with global brand strategies
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make strategic decisions
  • Proficiency in fostering collaborative spaces for consumer centric and creative ideation
  • Applied, broad industry knowledge and commercial awareness to develop operating plans and drive performance across marketing functions
  • The ability to travel regionally and on occasion internationally
  • Ability to speak Korean and English fluently
