This is a senior marketing leadership position responsible for developing complex, enterprise-level marketing strategies and enabling the execution of programs that have significant cross-organizational impact and require C-suite level influence with strategic partners.
The role demands deep business knowledge to drive organizational alignment and growth, to establish marketing best practices, and to influence investment priorities across multiple stakeholder groups.
The position requires exceptional judgment in handling ambiguous situations, building consensus across global AWS and partner teams. Successful candidates must have prior experience in marketing and business development, working at a top technology vendor, a global system integrator, or a business consulting and advisory partner, and must use this understanding to align our partners and AWS business objectives.
Key job responsibilities
• Define global Partner Marketing strategy in alignment with the field, enabling complex programs with broad cross-organizational impact and C-level influence
• Operate with complete autonomy on strategic initiatives, defining vision and strategy in undefined problem spaces
• Make strategic trade-offs between opportunity, resources, and long-term AWS and partner outcomes
• Represent complex strategic decisions to senior leadership (SVP level), articulating trade-offs and options with exceptional clarity
• Identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
• Work directly with senior executives in our partners to build marketing strategy and joint-marketing plans that drive customer acquisition and revenue growth from AWS and partner services
• Develop deep knowledge of partner business objectives and investment priorities to inform and evolve strategy and execution effectiveness
• Enable and orchestrate comprehensive regional marketing programs, ensuring alignment between partners and joint field marketing teams
• Manage and optimize a global budget across partner marketing programs
• Be the voice of our partners through setting goals, strategy, resourcing, roles and responsibilities, reporting, and measurement
• Ensure strategies and plans proposed to partners fully account for the scope of AWS marketing capabilities and capacity available to support them
• Direct external vendor strategy to support program execution and achieve goals, including Account-Based Marketing initiatives
• Drive strategic and executional alignment across AWS and partner organizations, collaborating with Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Partner Sales, Solution Architects, and senior AWS leadership
• Build mechanisms, scalable frameworks, and organizational standards that scale marketing best practices, improve repeatable outcomes, and deliver long-term value for AWS and our partners
• Champion and guide joint thought leadership content that positions AWS and partners as category leaders
• Develop future leaders and guide managers in team development
