In Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS), you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics for commercial and military platforms - whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, engine controls, aircraft and vehicle electrification, or aftermarket services. We are the leader in high integrity controls solutions providing stick to surface flight control solutions for the enduring fleet and new platforms.

The Competitive Intelligence internship at BAE Systems offers participants challenging, impactful work assignments as well as training and mentoring. As a Competitive Intelligence Intern you will:

  • Conduct research and analysis on competing companies and products
  • Assist in determining competitor strategies
  • Develop financial and other models to strengthen competitor analysis capabilities
  • Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Present findings to stakeholders

In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.

Because this role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, this position can be conducted 100% remotely. This role begins in Summer 2027.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, and will complete your sophomore year prior to summer 2027.
  • Good academic standing
  • Able to work at least 10 weeks during the summer
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience and confidence working in a remote environment
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Prior knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $37401 - $50534

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
