Job description

The Director of Marketing Strategy, Manulife Bank will lead a team of marketing strategists responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for Manulife Bank initiatives. This role owns the Manulife Bank customer and advisor experience marketing roadmap and leads priority value streams, ensuring strategies are aligned to enterprise objectives, advisor/client needs, and growth ambitions for Manulife Bank.

Position Responsibilities

  • Leadership and team management:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing strategists, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in go-to-market planning.

  • Experience roadmap ownership (Manulife Bank):Own and evolve the strategic roadmap for the Manulife Bank marketing experience (customer and advisor-facing as applicable), ensuring alignment with business priorities and audience needs.

  • Value stream leadership:Lead value streams for Manulife Bank (Specialized Lending, Residential Lending, Retail Products), driving initiatives that increase engagement, satisfaction, and growth.

  • Go-to-market strategy:Develop and execute go-to-market campaigns that clearly communicate the value of Manulife Bank products and capabilities through appropriate channels and partner pathways.

  • Strategic influence:Influence and collaborate with executives and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment, prioritization, and support for Manulife Bank go-to-market strategies and initiatives.

  • Performance and impact:Monitor and assess the performance of go-to-market initiatives; use data-driven insights to refine strategy, improve execution, and increase market impact.

  • Market insight and innovation:Stay current on the marketing landscape, industry trends, and competitive dynamics; recommend innovative strategies to maintain differentiation and momentum for Manulife Bank.

  • Stakeholder engagement:Engage key stakeholders (including internal partners and distribution stakeholders such as advisors, where applicable) to gather insights and feedback that inform strategic direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field;Master's degree preferred.

Salary range is expected to be between

$118,300.00 CAD - $168,300.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
