Position Overview
Strategic Development Representative will support relationships with the company's most important clients. They will assist the Strategic Account Director, the main point of contact for the client, coordinating with various departments to ensure the client's needs are met. This role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of the client's business and industry. They will also work closely with the Strategic Account Director to assist in developing and executing effective account management plans.
Essential Job Functions
  • Research and analyze target customer businesses, priorities, and market trends to equip Strategic Account Directors with key insights.
  • Map and track key contacts across customer organizations to help Strategic Account Directors bridge new internal relationships.
  • Coordinate timelines, meeting notes, and task follow-ups for Strategic Account Directors to ensure account strategy execution.
  • Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting tailored account plans and presentation materials for critical executive-level meetings.
  • Monitor active sales opportunities to flag urgent action items for internal and external teams.
  • Track industry trends and emerging risks to provide proactive marketplace updates to the Strategic Account team.
  • Review contract drafts and compile necessary background documents to assist during client negotiations.
  • Facilitate alignment meetings with solutions engineers, marketing, and sales leadership to support strategic based opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal trackers and dashboards to ensure accountability across all assigned strategic accounts.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience with a proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in financial, software, SaaS, or technology industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive net new business growth and meet/exceed sales targets
  • Exceptional consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand complex customer requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Ability to assist in negotiations, handle objections, and craft compelling proposals that align with the customer's requirements and budget. Ensure the timely closure of deals while maintaining a win-win approach.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets, reporting progress regularly to sales management. Utilize Salesforce tools to assist in tracking sales activities, update customer information, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
