Job Overview

The Strategy Analyst / Associate is a high-visibility, hands-on, and dynamic role within Lantern’s Emerging Products Team. The role will support daily operations, drive operational improvements, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to strategic planning to enable high-impact business decisions during an exciting chapter of Lantern’s growth. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious and entrepreneurial with a strong bias to action – with 1-3 years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or similar) or a high-growth startup. This is a remote-first role with occasional (~1x month) travel. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build out processes and own the development of deliverables end-to-end to support emerging product lines  
  • Analyze claims and cost savings data to drive insights for reporting and product improvement
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and business opportunities
  • Develop financial models and data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives and business performance
  • Evaluate potential partnerships and new business opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial, analytics, operations, and product teams to execute strategic projects
  • Support strategic planning, reporting, and forecasting processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in top management consulting, strategy, tech, and/or startup Operation or Product roles 
  • High-performing self-starter and independent contributor with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of ownership over deliverables
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and flexing between high-level strategic thinking and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of end-to-end accountability and autonomy
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship development, and verbal communication skills
  • Required: High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; bonus if you have other technical / data visualization skills (e.g., Python, Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
  • Bonus: Experience or interest in healthcare
