Position Overview

OT Training Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Analyst to support mission planning, operational analysis, strategic coordination, and long-range planning efforts at Fort Benning. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with experience supporting senior military leadership and strategic planning operations. This position supports the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) by providing strategic analysis, operational planning support, meeting coordination, task management, and infrastructure planning assistance in accordance with Army doctrine and command guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Course of Action Development

  • Utilize the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) in accordance with ADRP 5-0 (The Operations Process) to develop and recommend Courses of Action (COA).
  • Conduct analysis of COAs, including:
    • Strengths and weaknesses
    • Risk assessments
    • Resource requirements
    • Operational benefits
  • Recommend process improvements and cost-saving measures to support MCoE objectives.
  • Provide revisions and updates to planning products as required

Meeting Coordination & Strategic Support

  • Attend 3–5 strategic planning meetings weekly, as directed by the MCoE Chief of Plans.
  • Review meeting materials in advance and identify anticipated objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Present expected objectives and outcomes to Government leadership prior to meetings.
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes and reports in accordance with TR 1-11 within required timelines.
  • Capture detailed meeting documentation

Deliver finalized meeting minutes to the Government Executive Task Management

  • Coordinate Commanding General and Chief of Staff tracking requirements.
  • Analyze leadership notes and directives to identify actionable tasks.
  • Input and maintain tasks within the SharePoint tracking system.
  • Monitor suspense dates and proactively notify the G3 Plans Division Chief of potential delays.
  • Ensure SharePoint updates are completed within 48 hours of receiving new information.

Long-Range Planning & Infrastructure Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating long-range construction and design projects related to training areas and installation ranges.
  • Research and recommend cost-effective methods and services supporting Fort Benning operational objectives.
  • Synchronize planning efforts with unit training priorities and installation staff initiatives.
  • Recommend project prioritization strategies to maximize operational effectiveness and cost savings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • General Business, Management, Business Psychology, Organizational Management, Business Processes, or related field/equivalent experience
  • Experience in:
    • Long-range planning
    • Strategic analysis
    • Creative problem solving
    • Executive-level written and oral communication
  • Strong written communication skills commensurate with professional writing standards.
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with Garrison leadership or military organizations at Brigade echelon or higher.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and executive-level priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior military experience or direct support to Department of Defense operations.
  • Familiarity with Army doctrine, operational planning, and command staff procedures.
  • Experience supporting senior military leadership and strategic initiatives.
