The Role and What You'll Do:

UFC Originals is seeking an Associate Producer to join the Originals Production team. This role supports the development, production, and delivery of premium editorial content across field production, post-production, and digital distribution.

The Associate Producer will work closely with Producers, Senior Producers, Directors, Editors, researchers, and production staff to help bring compelling athlete stories, fight narratives, profiles, interviews, and behind-the-scenes features to life. The ideal candidate is highly organized, editorially minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced sports production environment.

Production Support
  • Support Producers throughout the production process, from research and pre-production through final delivery.
  • Assist with field shoots for athlete features, interviews, and original storytelling segments.
  • Coordinate production logistics, including travel, locations, crew needs, releases, schedules, call sheets, interview materials, and shoot documentation.
  • Support set-up, production operations, and wrap procedures on location and in studio environments.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams, external production partners, athletes, representatives, and vendors.
Editorial and Research
  • Research athletes, matchups, teams, training camps, fight histories, and current storylines to support editorial development.
  • Develop research packets, interview briefs, story notes, and background materials for Producers and talent.
  • Assist with identifying and securing archival, event, social, and third-party footage.
  • Track editorial updates and ensure factual accuracy, consistency, and appropriate context across segments.
  • Contribute story ideas and creative approaches that deepen the audience's connection to UFC athletes and events.
Post-Production
  • Screen, log, label, organize, and manage footage and project assets within UFC's production asset-management systems.
  • Support edit sessions, including note-taking, cut reviews, transcription, audio and voiceover sessions, graphics coordination, and version tracking.
  • Prepare and distribute scripts, interview transcripts, edit notes, music information, and delivery materials.
  • Help confirm that final content meets editorial, technical, brand, platform, and delivery requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of media, rights information, approvals, and final deliverables.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with UFC Originals, Creative, Editorial, Production Operations, Digital, Social, Marketing, Public Relations, Sponsorship, and Distribution teams.
  • Support communication with media partners, production vendors, rights holders, and other external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while escalating risks or schedule issues early.
  • Handle confidential athlete, production, business, and programming information with discretion.
  • Perform additional production and editorial duties as assigned.

You Have These:

  • High School GED, or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in television, documentary, sports, digital, or short-form video production.
  • Experience supporting field production, post-production, or both.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, including research, logging, transcription, editing, review, approvals, and delivery.
  • Working proficiency with Adobe Premier Pro or equivalent non-linear editing systems.
  • Excellent writing, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing assignments and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative production team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, travel, and live-event periods as production schedules require.
  • Passion for UFC, MMA, sports storytelling, and premium original content.
