Job description

Job Summary:
The Seven Sons on-farm store exists for the purpose of providing our loyal patrons with a fun and convenient local point of purchase. Our store also serves a place where new first-time customers can discover and learn more about our farm's mission and product offerings.
Areas of Effectiveness:
As a Retail Store Representative you will be expected to produce the following results:
  • Ensure that each visitor leaves our farm feeling welcomed, appreciated, informed as well as a sense of community and connection to our farm.
  • Ensure that a service culture is exemplified and maintained among yourself and all team members.

Effectiveness of job performance will be monitored and measured by:
  • Feedback from customers and visitors (phone calls, emails, reviews/ratings, etc...)
  • Customer retention as well as sales and revenue performance

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, order, receive and restock product inventory and supplies.
  • Operate POS checkout system.
  • Assist and facilitate with online ordering and order pickup.
  • Assist with any needed administration and customer service tasks related to the store and business actives at Seven Sons.
  • Cleaning, organizing and maintenance of store merchandising and office areas.
  • Special projects during 'slow' days/seasons, (labeling, date checks, organizational tasks, signage, etc.).

NOTE: Store operations and customer assistance is the main priority and admin duties should be tackled strategically during "downtime".
  • Assist with quarterly inventory count (a couple hours during the evening once per quarter).

Requirements:
  • Alignment with core company values.

  • Proficient problem-solving skills and ability to use deductive reasoning.
  • Willingness to report to management.

Expected Hours:
  • Hours: Appox.18 per week. ( Monday, Wednesday 9am-5pm, Rotate Tuesday (9am-5pm) and every 3rd Saturday (2pm-6pm)
  • Store operating hours: 09:00 AM - 6:00 PM. (Mon-Sat).
