Business Hours: Monday – Friday (9:00AM to 6:00 PM)

Ono Hawaiian BBQ uses the freshest ingredients, prepared from scratch daily in each restaurant and grilled fresh to order. With over 130 locations across California and Arizona, we aim to combine the culture and “aloha” spirit of Hawaii into our restaurants to bring a taste of the islands with exceptional service in an inviting atmosphere.

Job Overview:

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing team with a special focus on leveraging big data analytics to enhance brand strategy, customer engagement, and marketing performance. This role will require someone with restaurant industry experience, an analytical mindset, and the ability to manage projects and agencies. As a critical part of the marketing leadership, you will be responsible for driving data-driven marketing initiatives that align with the brand's mission to bring Hawaiian-inspired cuisine to our customers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Brand & Campaign Management

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, and in-store channels
  • Maintain brand consistency and voice across all consumer touchpoints
  • Manage seasonal promotions, LTO (limited time offer) launches, and menu feature campaigns from concept through execution
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and ROI to optimize campaign effectiveness
  • Stay current on restaurant industry trends and emerging digital marketing opportunities

Digital & Social Media

  • Oversee all social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X), including content planning, community management, and performance reporting
  • Partner with content creators and influencers aligned with the Ono Hawaiian BBQ brand ethos
  • Manage paid digital advertising campaigns (Meta, Google, TikTok Ads) to drive traffic and awareness
  • Plan email marketing programs including list growth, segmentation, and campaign performance

Local Store Marketing (LSM)

  • Develop local marketing toolkits and support operations with grand opening strategies, neighborhood outreach, and community events
  • Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, and businesses to drive community presence
  • Coordinate catering and community marketing initiatives

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report on key marketing KPIs including traffic, digital engagement, campaign ROI, and comp sales impact
  • Use data insights to optimize campaigns and inform future marketing investments
  • Manage digital marketing budget with a focus on efficiency and measurable return

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with operations, culinary, and finance teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals
  • Work with external agencies, photographers, videographers, and vendors to produce high-quality creative assets
  • Support new restaurant openings with pre-opening and grand opening marketing plans

Required

  • 4–7 years of marketing experience, preferably in restaurant, food & beverage, retail, or consumer brand environments
  • Proven track record managing multi-channel marketing campaigns end-to-end
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, paid digital advertising, and email/SMS marketing tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for creative quality
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or similar)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Collaborative self-starter who contributes positively to team culture
  • Resourceful and solutions-oriented, comfortable adopting new technologies and systems to optimize marketing performance and execution
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field

Preferred

  • Experience with fast-casual or multi-unit restaurant brands
  • Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite)
