Job Summary

The Business Development Manager - Atlantic Canada is responsible for increasing Stewart's revenue by growing the client base and supporting its existing clients in the Atlantic Canada region.
The role will be home office based but does require frequent external visits to clients and prospects so the expectation is that this position will be based in Halifax or in one of the major New Brunswick cities.
This opportunity is ideally suited for individuals working in real estate law or with business development experience in title insurance, real estate, mortgage lending, or with legal products.


Job Responsibilities

  • identifyingtitle insurance opportunities and increasing Stewart's market share & revenue in theAtlantic region
  • In person meetings withexisting clients and prospective clients
  • ExpandingStewart's relationships withlarge regionallaw firms
  • Managing day-to-day needs of a valuable client base, including responding to client inquiries andfilematters
  • Identifyingregionally specific opportunities for new coverage&services
  • Respondingto requests from underwriting on matterspertaining tolocal real estate law,riskand procedure
  • Assistingin setting strategies, planning, generating new initiatives, and work to achieve overall established goals
  • Assistingon new initiatives- including business case writing and analysis
  • Recording& reporting onBD activities,market analysis, andclientfeedback
  • Becominga subject matter expert and champion for Stewart products
  • Scheduling &conductingpresentationsand webinarsto firmsand industry associations
  • Solicitingopportunities toparticipatewithindustry relatedorganizations (CBA, RELANS,UDI, BOMA, RHPNSetc)

Qualifications

  • The role is best suited for a real estatelawyer,butsenior paralegalsand experienced business development professionalsareencouraged to apply
  • Maintainingmembership in good standing witha law society
  • Valid and in good standing driver's license
  • Willing to travel for various amounts of time
  • Ideal candidate will be situated in major city Centre in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick
