Senior Renewables High Voltage Project Engineer, Energy Storage
Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)
This an opportunity to join an industry leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing that is focused on the development/execution of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. They are at the forefront of the industry, have accumulated over 9GW+ of projects in a relatively short period of time, and are currently in an accelerated expansion phase.
The company is looking to make some key additions to their EPC (Engineering, Procurement, & Construction) Team tasked with taking projects through the full EPC lifecycle at an organization taking on next generation challenges in the battery storage space. JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Energy Storage Project Engineer / Renewables Project Development Engineer - UtilityScale Renewables
  • Sr. Energy Storage Project Engineer / High Voltage Project Development Engineer - Acts as an EPC High Voltage Project Leader driving technical deliverables for full-life cycle projects (design, engineering, construction, and commissioning)
  • Sr. Energy Storage Project Engineer / High Voltage Project Development Engineer - Plays a big role in 3rd party EPC contractor management and supplier/vendor management to ensure project execution by troubleshooting real-time issues
  • Sr. Energy Storage Project Engineer / High Voltage Project Development Engineer - Reviews and helps further defines the transmission interconnection agreement process by leveraging the internal Transmission & Interconnection Team and coordinating with utility companies to ensure streamline project integration
  • Sr. Energy Storage Project Engineer / High Voltage Project Development Engineer - Leads site walk-downs and project related travel to support construction as well as commissioning efforts
  • Sr. Energy Storage Project Engineer / High Voltage Project Development Engineer - Supports the RFP / RQ/ RFI (request for proposal) creation process on major utility-scale renewables projects (solar, battery storage, solar + storage, energy storage..etc)
  • Sr. Energy Storage Project Engineer / High Voltage Project Development Engineer - Accountable for performance requirements to deliver maximum potential EPC project value while minimizing execution and operating risks

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-10+ years of utility-scale renewable energy experience working with IPPs / Developers / Owners
  • MUST HAVE RECENT EXPERIENCE with project engineering / project development engineering initiatives such as site-layout/optimization, one line (1-line) / 3 line (three-line) design, transmission interconnection requirements, procurement/contracting, and engineering construction management specifically in the utility-scale renewables industry
  • Experience with full-lifecycle EPC development phases of utility scale renewable energy projects including engineering design, construction, and feasibility studies with a HUGE emphasis on the RFP/ RFI / RFQ and Construction/Commissioning processes
  • Working knowledge technical and commercial elements of the major equipment / technology supply, engineering, and pre-construction processes, specifically around battery performance specifications, and warranty negotiation + management
  • Current or previous experience in Mid-Senior level roles as: Renewables Project Engineer, Sr. Electrical Engineer, Project Manager (E&C), Electrical Project Engineer, or Project Development Engineer for large utility-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on solar, energy storage, and battery storage projects
