Object Storage Engineer

Duration: Contract thru 12/31/25 w/ possibility of extension

Contract Designation: 2 days/week onsite in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL

Rate: $65 - $70/hr on W2

Position Overview:

  • Design and implementation of Object storage products such as NetApp StorageGRID, Dell ECS, PURE Flashblade etc.
  • L3 support for Object storage issues, including performance analysis and sizing of the systems
  • Ability to do technology certifications, defining platform standards and documenting procedures such as storage platform build and operational guides.
  • Take on leading and driving critical projects and strategic org efforts
  • Ability to design storage solutions based on the requirement by working closely with other teams
  • Ability to provide plan for carrying out large scale storage infra refresh, migration and upgrade activities.
  • Innovate by collaborating to create more efficient processes and automations to carry out same.
  • Technical proficiency and broad experience in Object storage protocols - S3
  • Familiar with on-prem server infrastructure deployments
  • Familiar with Storage provisioning and management tools such as Cyberduck, S3 APIs and S3 tools.
  • Experience in design, deployment and management of storage infrastructure
Skillset
  • Storage Hardware, components and tools for unstructured data
    • NetApp StorageGRID
    • Dell ECS
    • PURE Flashblade
    • Any other object storage technologies
  • Experience with storage management tools such as Cyberduck, AWSCLI and S3 APIs.
