Job Summary:
JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers and businesses. They are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to provide product support, monitor storage environments, and troubleshoot various issues while collaborating with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
• Provide front line product support, proactive monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, security, maintenance, and incident management for storage environment.
• Work closely with clients, vendors, other incident management teams and technical staff to install work class storage hardware.
• Maintain stability of transactions and troubleshoot storage, server, load balancer, application, network, database issues in all the environments.
• Debug issues in the production environment through analyzing logs, collection metrics, and leveraging app-monitoring tools, and create solutions for sustained resiliency.
• Partner with customers to understand new projects, cross-pipeline requirements.
• Serve as a liaison with internal monitoring teams to make sure appropriate alerting is in place.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or in a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Storage Engineer, Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation.
• Experience with using Block Storage Solutions including, EMC PowerFlex, VMAX, PowerMax, VNX, Netapp SolidFire, HP-3PAR, ECS, Storage fabrics, Brocade and Cisco SAN switches.
• Experience working with Cloud Block Storage such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google GCP.
• Experience utilizing Storage protocols such as iSCSI, FC or NVME/TCP.
• Experience with Block and Object Storage implementation and best practices.
• Experience performing root cause analysis of Production incidents and recommending tactical and strategic solutions to SRE teams.
• Experience working with the software development lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery.
• Experience using cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and lean philosophies.
