Job description

Palmetto Bluff is nestled along the May River in the Lowcountry of South Carolina between Hilton Head Island and Savannah. As an award winning 20,000 acre development, the development encompasses a private member’s only club which includes a marina, restaurants, an equestrian center, a shooting club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, The Crossroads Reversable King Collins Golf Course, Anson Point Golf Course designed by Coore and Crenshaw, a lawn and racquet club, a community farm, and more.  In addition, Palmetto Bluff has an extensive nature preserve, walking trails, retail shopping, art gallery, and a vibrant village, all which pay homage to the region’s rich heritage.


Job Summary:

The Shooting Club Coordinator will administer programs at Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club. Responsible for the administrative component and business operation of the shooting club experience. Will always ensure a consistently high level of member satisfaction and pride in Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club and above all – safety assurance.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer phones, greet, acknowledge, and interact with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Articulate extensive knowledge of all programs and activities at Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club and able to describe them to guests and members.
  • Duties include assisting with reservations, member and guest check-ins, safety waiver completion, facility cleanliness, maintenance, inventory management, and billing. 
  • Properly handle reservations for members and guests, ensuring a smooth arrival/check-in experience and accurate check-out.
  • Coordinate shooting club activities throughout the reservation process to protect member access while maximizing opportunities for hotel guests.
  • Input all transactions into the Point-of-Sale system promptly and accurately, including all commissionable transactions necessary for reporting payroll.
  • Ensure waivers are consistently completed as required and appropriately filed.
  • Assist with member records and collaborate with Membership Manager on record keeping and Club billing.
  • The ability to develop relationships with members, return guests, group contacts, etc., to provide maximum, personalized guest service.
  • Assist with accurate receiving and processing procedures for all merchandise.
  • Assist with monthly inventory.  Completes month-end inventory reports for final review by Shooting Club Manager.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing the stock room.
  • Maintain a clean, organized retail and check-in environment.
  • Assist in operations as requested by management. 

Qualifications: 

  • 3 years of related administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong guest service background. Ability to provide a high level of service, programming, and instruction for our guests and members.
  • Microsoft proficient 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate well with members, guests, and associates.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Should maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, demeanor, and approach with members, guests, and coworkers.
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certified.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Work tasks may be performed indoors. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • May need to remain standing for extended periods.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Requires strong verbal and listening skills that will occur continuously while communicating with members, guests, and associates.
  • Must have finger dexterity to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and other office equipment as needed.
