CDR General Services is seeking an experienced STICK Welder to join our team in Port Allen, LA 70767. The ideal candidate has hands-on shipyard or dry dock experience and is comfortable working in outdoor environments, confined spaces, and around water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform STICK welding (SMAW) on carbon steel and other materials in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal positions.
  • Fabricate and repair structural components such as hulls, decks, frames, and bulkheads.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and job specifications.
  • Prepare and clean surfaces using grinders, torches, and other tools.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality meets marine standards.
  • Work safely at heights, over water, and in confined spaces as required.
  • Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Follow OSHA, company, and shipyard safety protocols at all times.
