Body Shop Technician
Stevens Point, WI
Stevens Point Auto Center is looking for a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team. The Automotive Body Technician is critical to our continued success and is responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Responsibilities
  • Perform all work listed on work orders with efficiency and accuracy
  • Utilize welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations to perform all body and fender repairs
  • Communicate with the Body shop manager as well as the parts department to ensure the materials are here to complete the jobs
  • Examine all vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required; advise the body shop manager as needed
  • Ability to follow factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty work
  • Keep up to date with repair methods and techniques for vehicles, as well as service manuals and other publications
  • Attend factory sponsored training classes to keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Ability to operate all body shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Understand and follow all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to hazardous materials and safety equipment
  • Utilize basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing paints and chemicals
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to industry safety standards

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess own tools
  • Auto body and collision damage repair certificate or 5 years of practical knowledge within an auto body repair facility
  • ASE Credentials, Preferred
