Job Summary

The Header - Terminal Operations is responsible for supervising and coordinating cargo staging activities to support vessel loading and unloading operations. This role ensures cargo is properly prepared, verified, and positioned for stevedoring operations while maintaining safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency. The position also provides direction to forklift operators and labor teams, supports terminal logistics activities, and ensures compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the maritime industry as a Team Leader or Header.
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience (8K–52K forklifts).
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak intermediate English.
  • Basic knowledge of two-way radio communication.
  • Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Ability to accurately process alphanumeric information.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Ability to work outdoors and lift, push, or pull up to 55 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HAZMAT (DOT:49CFR) or Dangerous Goods (IMO:IMDG Code).
  • Current HAZMAT and Dangerous Goods certification.
