Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Operating Room Director/Manager of Sterile Processing or designee, the OR Instrument Technician/Sterile Processing cares for the instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them in an approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Sterile Processing certification.
  • a minimum of 2 years in acute care facility experience required in Sterile Processing.
  • Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday.
  • Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be free from signs of illness and infection.
  • Must be able to stoop, push carts, bend, and lift in stocking supplies
