Job description

Part Time Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
Assist pharmacists by performing technical functions and supporting professional functions to provide pharmaceutical services to patients, staff, and physicians. This role operates under the supervision of the Pharmacist-on-duty.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare parenteral products, such as IV, IVPB's, and TPN solutions, in compliance with policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and USP 797, USP 800, and USP 795 regulations.
  • Process printed medication orders and stock medication requests as needed, including ambulance and code cart trays.
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries at the customer service window.
  • Replace returned medication to appropriate storage areas.
  • Monitor par levels, reorder, and restock controlled substances as required.
  • Act as a resource for fundamental pharmacy technicians.
  • Participate directly in the training of new pharmacy technicians.
Essential Skills
  • Pharmacy technician certification (preferred)
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations, including filling prescriptions.
  • Compounding experience preferred
  • Wisconsin pharmacy technician license/registration
  • 1 year of pharmacy experience

Work Environment
Schedule is a combination of varied shifts between 1st and 2nd shift, must have flexibility. Will have schedule 6 weeks in advanced. Will work weekend rotation of every third weekend.
Currently have 32 hours per 2 weeks and 64 hours per two weeks available.
This role offers an opportunity to learn and advance the Pharmacy Career Ladder, progressing from Compound Pharm Tech to Sterile Comp Tech, Sr Pharm Tech, and eventually to Sterile Products Technician Specialist.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
