Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment

  • Assemble and prepare surgical trays accurately and efficiently

  • Conduct high-level disinfection (HLD) processes

  • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and defects

  • Wrap, label, and prepare instruments for sterilization cycles

  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols

  • Ensure on-time instrument availability to support daily OR schedules

  • Utilize EMR systems (Epic) to review surgical case schedules

  • Float between facilities as needed based on volume

Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of Sterile Processing experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in:

  • Instrument assembly & inspection

  • Sterilization & decontamination processes

  • High-level disinfection (HLD)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand surgical environment

  • Comfortable with floating between facilities

  • Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance

  • Experience with: Steris sterilizers and washers, V-PRO sterilization systems, SPM tracking systems
