Job description

Sterile Processing Clinical Lead 
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$27.85 - $37.13 an hour - Fulltime - Tuesday - Friday (2pm - 12:30am)
+$2.50/hr for evening and weekend shifts. 
Boulder Community health is seeking a Sterile Processing Clinical Lead, who, Under direct supervision of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, the Lead Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the receiving, processing, delivering, tracking and rendering safe instrumentation, for patient use when needed in respective departments.

Qualifications 
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•Certification (CBSPD or HSPA) required within one year of employment.
•Sterile Processing and Distribution Certification (CRCST), Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) certification or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD). Must currently have or agree to obtain within 1 year of employment.
•A current certificate must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
•1-2 years’ experience working in a sterile processing department.
•Leadership experience preferred
•OR Tech experience preferred
•Computer experience preferred
•Inventory experience preferred 

Responsibilities
•Maintains records regarding maintenance of instrumentation and equipment.
•Operate computer for data entry.
•Is responsible for reporting damaged or malfunctioning equipment and obtaining loaner/rental instruments when requested.
•Maintains all surgical trays, equipment and instruments in proper working condition, and educates staff on such.
•Assists in orientation of new personnel.
•Able to prioritize duties in emergency and high stress situations.
•Assists and maintains a clean and organized environment in Sterile Processing.
•Maintains current purchasing, inventory and receiving records on computer database.
•Utilizes appropriate contacts.
•Supports and participates in Quality Improvement protocols and activities.
