Neuro Step down unit - Brook Army Medical Center
Are you looking for a rewarding career, in a patient focused environment, without feeling overwhelmed?
Would you like to work for a prestigious hospital known as the Department of Defense's largest facility
and only Level 1 Trauma Center? If so, look no further! GiaMed JV, a joint venture between MedTrust LLC and
GiaCare Inc., is now hiring civilian Registered Nurses to work at Brooke Army Medical Center,
serving our military heroes and their families. We have positions available in a Neuro Step Down and at the
Cardiac Step Down Unit.
As a GiaMed JV employee, you can expect:

  • A team that consists of LVN's and Techs to work with
  • No On-Call

  • Schedule consists of 3 months days and 3 months nights- 36-40 hours

Responsibilities
As a GiaMed employee, your duties and responsibilities will be the same as any other registered nurse on the same unit. Duties can include but are not limited to the following: team lead, precept, orientate, rapid response, and other tasks as needed. As an RN on either of the stepdown units, you can expect to provide healing to patients needing a higher level of skilled nursing care than on a Medical Surgical floor, but do not need an intensive level of care in the ICU.
Qualifications
-Must be U.S. citizen
-Valid Registered Nursing license for any U.S. jurisdiction
-BLS, ACLS current
-The RN shall have at least one (1) year of full-time experience working as an RN in an Adult Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or equivalent, and a minimum of two (2) years (full-time) in clinical nursing within the last four (4) years.
