Job Description:

The Extrusion Press Operator will be responsible for the process of applying coating to drawn and cut steel wire. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Candidate must be able to learn all aspects of the extrusion and baking process. 

  • This person must be mechanically inclined and willing to utilize these skills to enhance the value of the team. 

  • Perform required quality checks 

  • Complete machine setup/changeover promptly 

  • Input data accurately into Routecard 

Qualifications 

  • Able to stand for long periods of time 

  • Must be able to work well with others. 

  • Be safety conscious and have a “safety first” attitude. 

  • Obtain a forklift license and be physically capable of safely operating the forklift 

  • Must be willing to cross-train in other areas. 

  • Press Operator experience preferred.  

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders 

  • Computer experience preferred.
