Job description

Overview
In this key role, the Steel Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all distribution processes at Triple-S Steel, including but not limited to the following activities: Shipping, Put-away, Cycle Counting, Picking, Packing, Returns. This individual will have the authority of warehouse employees, process handling and actions of employees. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for meeting or exceeding established objectives and key performance measures such as productivity, quality and on-time shipments to customers. The Steel Warehouse Supervisor will be a working supervisor position and will include working on the warehouse floor as needed to back up their direct reports.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure warehouse personnel are assigned to the appropriate work areas throughout the working day to meet deadlines for all processes.
  • Directing production, shipping, cost, quality, and safety so that goals are met.
  • Reviewing schedules, determining work force requirements, and monitoring productivity to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Make decisions regarding workflow throughout the day to ensure daily operational objectives are met.
  • Monitor on an established basis, operations, procedures and employees to ensure quality, service and productivity objectives are met.
  • Ensure all established Triple S Steel polices are enforced and followed by all employees. Such as, but not limited to: Quality Policy, Security, Safety, Health, Environmental, Attendance and all other policies.
  • Assist with training new employees in safety, proper work assignments, and job responsibilities
  • Entry of incident reports
  • INVEX Support
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Three years' experience in a distribution environment (preferably steel distribution)
