Outside Sales Representative Philadelphia, PA

About Our Client : privately held supplier of pipe, tubing, fittings, flanges, and related alloy steel products serving the global energy and power generation industries. With over 75 years of experience and regional centers in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Tennessee, and is a leading material supplier to power generation, nuclear, oil refining, gas and chemical processing, and U.S. military shipbuilding markets.

Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative, based in Philadelphia, PA, reports to the Regional Sales Director and is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business and managing existing accounts within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, grow, and manage regional accounts

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities

  • Build strong customer relationships and provide account leadership

  • Maintain CRM records and follow up on inquiries

  • Achieve territory sales goals and budget objectives

  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activity

  • Conduct negotiations and provide risk assessments throughout the sales cycle

  • Travel within territory to support customers and business development

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 / preferred 5 years of industrial sales experience (steel pipe preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

  • Knowledge of steel pipe, fittings, and flanges applications

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer relationship skills
