* Bridge Steel Fabrication Experience Only, US Citizens Only
Bridge Fabrication Project Manager oversees structural steel and component manufacturing for bridge infrastructure from contract award to final delivery. They manage budgets, schedules, quality compliance (such as AISC and AWS standards), and technical coordination for complex elements like girders, trunnions, and movable spans.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Controls: Track budgets, schedules, status reports, and forecasts.
  • Technical Coordination: Review shop drawings, welding procedures, and non-destructive testing (NDT/NDE) requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Interface with detailers, shop production teams, QA/QC inspectors, engineers, and erectors.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to AISC certification guidelines, AASHTO specifications, and state Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
Core Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent heavy industrial experience).
  • Experience: 5 to 10+ years in structural steel or heavy civil manufacturing, ideally with complex or movable bridge components.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or AISC/AWS certifications are often preferred.
