Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Greater New Orleans, LA area is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for Steel Erection Foreman.  We are seeking an experienced Steel Erection Superintendent to oversee and manage our steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel construction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of steel erection crews.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to meet project goals.
  • Train and mentor crew members.
 
REQUIREMENTS 
  • Experience in the bulk handling industry is preferred.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and TWIC card.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE

Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a steel erection foreman at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
