Job description

Job Title: DetailerJob Description

Join a leading fabricator of structural steel joist and deck building systems, known for their specification and engineering expertise across North America. The Detailer role is crucial in converting customer drawings into simple AutoCAD 2D plans, facilitating the manufacturing and delivery of the final product. This position is based in Fort Wayne, IN, supporting production from multiple manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities
  • Convert customer drawings into detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D.
  • Create manufacturing plans and coordinate internal and external project delivery.
  • Work on 5-6 projects simultaneously at various stages of completion.
  • Utilize a proprietary AutoCAD 2D add-in, with training provided.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to solve problems and ensure project success.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD drafting in construction, building design, or a related industry.
  • Understanding of structural loads and connections for decking design.
  • Familiarity with design approval processes and client/fabrication plant coordination.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
