Front of House Dining Room Manager / AGM


Fine Dining Steakhouse


We are seeking an experienced Front of House Dining Room Manager to help lead the service team at an established fine dining steakhouse. This position is ideal for a polished hospitality professional who is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, developing exceptional teams, and maintaining the highest standards of service.


The Dining Room Manager will be highly visible on the floor, supporting daily front-of-house operations and ensuring every guest receives attentive, personalized, and professional service.


Responsibilities

  • Lead daily front-of-house operations and maintain a polished, organized, and welcoming dining room.
  • Actively manage the floor during service, anticipating guest needs and supporting the team in real time.
  • Train, coach, and develop servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and other front-of-house team members.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate service expectations, menu features, wine selections, and special events.
  • Ensure all team members consistently follow fine dining service standards.
  • Build relationships with guests and create personalized, memorable dining experiences.
  • Respond to guest questions, special requests, and concerns with professionalism, urgency, and grace.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team to maintain proper timing, food presentation, and communication during service.
  • Manage reservations, seating, table turns, and guest flow in partnership with the host team.
  • Support wine and beverage service while helping the team develop its knowledge of pairings, spirits, and proper presentation.
  • Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, opening and closing procedures, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness, appearance, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Help create a positive, professional culture built around teamwork, accountability, and hospitality.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of front-of-house leadership experience in a fine dining, upscale steakhouse, or polished hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine, spirits, and food and beverage pairings.
  • Proven ability to train, motivate, and lead a high-performing service team.
